Safety
ISOTHERM Thermal Insulation was developed in 1998 with its derivative products ISOFOIL and ACOUSTISORB followed soon thereafter. They are some of the safest and most effective products on the market. Made from 100% polyester fibre derived from recycled PET (plastic) bottles it is completely safe - no protective clothing is required when handling. Its safety in the event of fire has been tested up to temperatures of 750 degrees and it has been proven to not promulgate or aid the spread of fire; a qualitative standard recognised by the Timber Frame Builders Association through its affiliation with ACOUSTISORB.

Certification
To make an educated decision on which thermal insulation product is best, recognised standards of quality such as the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) and proof of qualitative associations with associations such as TIASA, The Thermal Insulation Association of Southern Africa are imperative.
